Program Highlights
More than 200 students from 50 highs schools from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware have participated in the program over the last eight years.
- Students can choose from four tracks in financial engineering/actuarial science, business/marketing, pre-law, and sports management, with an overarching theme of leadership woven into the curriculum. Students will earn three college credits which will be transferrable to almost any higher education institution.
- Students will participate in a team project in addition to the academic class. Examples of these projects include a business plan workshop and a mock trial competition.
- Students will be attending workshops on leadership, professionalism, and techniques for making the college decision.
- Students will attend field trips; in past years, trips have included the United States Military Academy in West Point, the Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank, Philadelphia City Hall, Citizen’s Bank Ballpark for a look at the operations of the Philadelphia Phillies, the X-Games in Philadelphia, KYW/CBS 3, the Martin Guitar Factory in Nazareth, PA, and the New York Stock Exchange.
