Prospective Students
The Leadership Academy at the Fox School seeks mature, motivated, diverse, and academically talented students between their junior and senior year of high school. Candidates must be prepared for college-level coursework, and must have demonstrated motivation through superior high school grades. Typically, students who attend the academy have taken, or are taking, both honors and Advanced Placement classes at their schools.
Guidelines dictate that ideal students must have a minimum combined score of 1250 on the critical reading and math sections of the P/SAT. Consideration may be given to students who are very close to the P/SAT requirement who show exceptional achievement in course work.
A committee of Fox faculty and staff review the nominations for admission to the program.
Students who are selected must be able to commit to the full six-week schedule, which runs Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
The dates for The Leadership Academy at the Fox School are July 7 through August 15, 2008. College credits and the Leadership Certificate are awarded upon successful completion of the program.
Please note that some of the field trips may last longer than the listed daily schedule.
