Dr. Kathleen Daerr-Bannon

Kathleen L. Daerr-Bannon (J.D., Temple University School of Law; B.A., Swarthmore College) has over twenty-five years of experience as an attorney in civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). She has served nationwide and in London as commercial arbitrator and mediator in numerous cases, including class actions, and has taught business ethics and ADR at Temple University Japan, Tokyo campus. Daerr-Bannon joined FSBM in 2001, teaching Law in Society, and has gone on to also teach Legal Research, Writing and Advocacy, the capstone course for all Legal Studies majors, and to develop the course, The Litigation Process. Daerr-Bannon is a highly sought after consultant, arbitrator and mediator in both the public and private sectors. She speaks and writes frequently in the legal community, focusing on issues of settlement, negotiation, arbitration and mediation, class actions, employment and legal ethics. She has authored eight chapters in Cause of Action 2d for West Publishing; received acknowledgement for her contribution to ADR chapter authored by Picker and Foltz in the West/ACCA joint venture edited by Haig, Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel; and has authored ADR chapter in the Hodge text, The Legal Environment of the New Millennium by McGraw-Hill.
