Dr. Karen S. Koziara

Karen S. Koziara is an experienced and successful university teacher and published researcher. She earned her Ph.D from the University of Wisconsin with a major in Labor Economics and a minor in Law. Most of her research focuses on labor relations or public policy and labor market issues. This research is published in a wide variety of journals, including Industrial and Labor Relations Review, The Yale Journal of Regulation, Employee Relations Law Journal, Monthly Labor Review, Proceedings of the Industrial and Relations Research Association, Labor Law Journal, and several edited books, including a chapter entitled "Baseball Labor Relations: Is It Safe to Go Back to the Ballpark" in Baseball and American Culture, edited by Edward J. Rielly (The Haworth Press, 2004). Her teaching portfolio includes a wide array of undergraduate and graduate courses in strategic human resource administration, labor-management relations, employment law, and managing productive work teams. She is a former president of the Temple University Faculty Senate. Her honors include having been a Woodrow Wilson Fellow, a Fulbright Fellow, and a German Marshall Fellow. She was also chosen for a Lindback Teaching Award, an Asher Outstanding Faculty Award, and School of Business Faculty Research Award.
