Curriculum
The Fox-PUJC Executive MBA (EMBA) provides you with the skill set necessary for successful strategic management. The curriculum is tailored to more seasoned professionals, and provides enterprise-wide perspective for senior-level decision-making.
Each phase of the EMBA program builds upon the learning outcomes from previous courses in the sequence. In our cohort program, professors coordinate their syllabi, goals and objectives across subjects to ensure program continuity and course integration.
Teaching Styles & Learning
The Fox-PUJC EMBA teaching style is interactive, and encourages participants to share examples from their industry perspective. Learning in the EMBA is team-based, and many assignments and projects are collaborative experiences that leverage the talents and experience to maximize team performance. Support and learning from classmates and teammates is an integral part of the EMBA experience.
Specific Objectives
- Value how globalization, information technology and entrepreneurship affect management practices and strategies.
- Address company challenges in diverse areas (human resources, finance, distribution and/or management process design) and in diverse development stages (from beginning to end), by developing an expertise to recognize, analyze and solve those business problems.
- Generate, adapt and apply tools that facilitate management in all fields. Lead, work, and communicate effectively with corporate teams.
- Stay apprised of current management trends.
- Create business opportunities that lead to the start of new organizations and/or strengthen existing ones.
- Use research methodology to understand the behavior of entrepreneurs as well as surrounding companies and environments.
- Act with ethics and social responsibility and make life-long commitment to human dignity, the regulation of corporate acts, the environment, multiculturalism, society, the fight against corruption and the less-favored.
Course Sequence and Topics
First Semester:
Foundation courses in accounting, economics, statistics, and finance provide concrete tools which enhance your expertise in analyzing and solving business problems.
Second and Third Semesters:
Your first-semester knowledge foundation prepares you for the ensuing marketing, operations management and global strategic planning course sequence.
Strategic management and leadership courses foster a broader conceptual framework for senior management.
