Curriculum

The Fox EMBA gives you the tools and experience to become a successful strategist.  The curriculum is tailored to more seasoned professionals, and provides enterprise-wide perspective for senior-level decision-making.

Each phase of the EMBA program builds upon the learning outcomes from previous courses in the sequence.  In our cohort program, professors coordinate their syllabi, goals and objectives across subjects to ensure program continuity and course integration.

Teaching Styles & Learning

The Fox EMBA teaching style is interactive, and encourages participants to share examples from their industry perspective.  Learning in the EMBA is team-based, and many assignments and projects are collaborative experiences that leverage the talents and experience to maximize team performance.  Support and learning from classmates and teammates is an integral part of the EMBA experience.

Course Sequence and Topics

First Year:

Foundation courses in accounting, economics and statistics provide concrete tools which enhance your expertise in analyzing and solving business problems.  Strategic management and leadership courses, as well as an elective, foster a broader conceptual framework for senior management. Modules on cost analysis, information management and finance complete the first year core curriculum.

Second Year:

Your first-year knowledge foundation prepares you for the ensuing marketing, operations management and global strategic planning course sequence. During the spring semester of your second year your class will travel to an international location with a developing or changing economy and meet with local and multinational C-level executives.

All of your preceding coursework culminates in an Enterprise Strategy and Consultation Capstone course which synthesizes your prior functional expertise to complete a successful, comprehensive strategic development plan for a current or startup organization.
