Welcome to the Enterprise Management Consulting Practice (EMC), the heart of The Fox MBA.

Moshe PoratStudents tell us that this is the experience that integrates their studies and creates their transition into management.

The EMC, part of a required capstone course for all MBA students, incorporates The Fox School's commitment to globalization, to information technology management, to entrepreneurship and innovation, and to business ethics.

Globalization is emphasized through collaboration with international partners (Ben Gurion, ENPC, Trinity College and Welingkar) and through projects for corporations such as Teva Pharmaceuticals as they explore new markets and ways to integrate far-flung subsidiaries.  Information Technology management is developed through technology projects for a start-up like Cellix or for an established company like Rohm & Haas that is exploring new technology. Business ethics is part of all projects, but is especially important in a social entrepreneurship project such as economic development projects for Project H.O.M.E. or the effort with the United Nations Environmental Insurance Programme's Finance Initiative to incorporate environmental, social and governance factors into underwriting.

During all EMC projects, Fox MBA students demonstrate the best of Temple University by rolling up their sleeves and working closely with client firms, faculty and advisors.

Students benefit from the opportunity to test their new skills in the heat of action - while receiving structured support from seasoned clinical faculty and from an advisory board composed of prominent regional industry leaders.

And clients gain from students' immense energy and creativity, as well as their ability to draw on the expertise of faculty and advisors.

In the end, with faculty and advisor support, students provide truly commercial-grade results, which is why we charge for this consulting.

EMC teams have helped more than 120 clients raise millions of dollars, adjust their strategies, make key market-entry decisions, complete important hires and much more.

And the business leaders that serve as advisors, and sometimes as clients, tell me that adopting an EMC team is one of the most rewarding ways to connect with students, new business ideas and The Fox School.

I invite you to become involved with The Fox School Enterprise Management Consulting Practicum and for those of you already involved, whether as a student, faculty member, advisor or client, I look forward to hearing more about your gains.
