Research Scholars Program
About the Program
- Upon acceptance into the Honors Program at Temple's Fox School of Business and Management, a select number of students have the opportunity to be a research assistant with a Fox School faculty mentor in their junior and senior years.
- Research scholars are awarded scholarhip money for both years in the program, subject to adequate academic progress and substantial performance review as a Research Scholar.
Junior Research Scholars
- Take increasingly active research role with mentor
- Attend conferences with mentor
- Learn about research completed in selected major
- Take a special course in Research Methods in Business
- Begin to assist their mentors
Senior Research Scholars
- Continue as research assistant for mentor
- Perform independent research, resulting in a senior thesis
- Present research at Research Scholars Colloquium
Admissions Criteria
- Acceptance into The Fox School's Honors Program
- Quantitative ability as exhibited in high school college math and science courses
- Writing ability as exhibited in high school college English courses and the Research Scholars application essay
- Ability to work independently as exhibited in previous research projects and recommendation letters
Application Process
- Applications are submitted early in the Spring of Sophomore year
- Admission letters will be sent at the end of the Spring semester for admission that Fall
