The Global Entrepreneurship in Technology (GET) consulting practicum is a hands-on learning experience involving faculty, students and mentors from Temple University's Fox School of Business and Management. The name “GET” comes from our original portfolio of technology clients, but since its inception, our program has diversified its network and industries that are served each year through the practicum.

The students gain significant experience by:

  • Conducting extensive market and industry research for their clients
  • Engaging clients with bi-weekly meetings and deliverables
  • Interviewing industry leaders by phone or in person to enhance the network and knowledge of the industry or target market of their respective client
  • Making strategic recommendations in an ongoing dialogue with senior management of the client company
  • Preparing a market entry strategy, re-positioning analysis, or a full business plan including projected return on investments and risk or feasibility analysis
  • Presenting their results to the client, investors and mentors from the business community at the annual Temple University Venture Fair

The GET project serves as the applied learning component for students in a 1-year MBA program. While different than a typical 2-year MBA summer internship, IMBA graduates can leverage this high level of exposure as real-world experience.Alumni often comment that the exposure they gained through the GET was the signature and distinctive advantage of pursuing the IMBA.
