Ridgley, Stanley K.

who instructed International Business in Spring 2006
Department: General and Strategic Management

When you attend such a large University, it sometimes can feel like you are lost in the masses. Professor Ridgley took the time to recognize those of us who he knew where there to learn. Having a tough time finding a way to measure myself against my classmates, Prof. Ridgley gave me a way. My GPA was never 4.0, but in business sometimes that is not what the bar rests on. Hand picked by him I entered into Temple's first ever cross-cultural case study with 2 other groups of women from the school. We joined forces with 3 other groups from Dubai. It was tough work to take on being my final semester and when our group won, I knew I would make it out in the 'real world' . . . 4.0 or not. It was a pivotal time in my life and Prof. Ridgley gave me that last boost of confidence I needed as I exited Temple. I am not sure if I ever got the chance to say thank you, but better late than never. He should know the confidence that he instilled in me with a simple choice for a case study sticks with me everyday. I am forever grateful. Thank you.

Sincerely, Sarah Matarazzo
