About us
Temple CIBER's Language & Linguistics Center
Sponsored by Temple University's Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), this initiative is designed to develop linkages among language and linguistics faculty across campus in order to share strengths and expertise. The Temple CIBER will focus resources on further developing programs that foster business language curriculum development and research, faculty development, and K-12 outreach throughout the greater Philadelphia academic community.

Activities include:
Distinguished Guest Speaker Series
- prominent researchers from other universities
- provides outreach to larger Philadelphia community of language faculty
Language Faculty Development Programs
- professional development workshop on topics such as business language pedagogy, critical pedagogy, technology for language teaching, and the use of film and media in language teaching.
World Languages Day
- 300 area high school seniors attend annually to reinforce the values and opportunities that come with language learning at the university level, and to promote understanding through communication among peoples and cultures
