Jennifer Solonynka, CPA

Major: Accounting
Graduation: May 1999
Hometown: Churchville, Pennsylvania

I grew up in suburban Philadelphia and was active in my school, sports, and community.  Upon graduation, I wanted the benefits of a large, diverse university with a strong business program.  After I visited Temple and the Fox School of Business, spoke with students, and learned about the Honors Program, I was convinced that Temple University was the place for me.

I lived on campus all four years to get a real college experience.  I majored in accounting and became involved in the FSBM’s Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) and numerous professional organizations.  I also participated in Habitat for Humanity and other community activities.  I took advantage of the restaurants, cultural events and history of Philadelphia.  As the President of College Council and a member of Beta Alpha Psi (professional accounting fraternity), I strengthened my leadership skills and prepared myself for a career in accounting.  I accepted an internship with PricewaterhouseCoopers, which led to a full time position with the company.  After 4 years with PwC, I joined a local pharmaceutical company where I currently have a financial role supporting clinical trials.

I had a fantastic experience at FSBM.  I accomplished more than I ever thought possible while at Temple, and I developed personally and professionally.  I encourage potential students to visit campus, learn about the various activities and opportunities at Temple, and look forward to some of the best years of life!
