justin mahwikizi
Justin Mahwikizi is currently working at The Private Bank and Trust Company in Chicago Illinois where he is the Head of Foreign exchange Operations.
Previously, Justin was at UBS Investment Bank US headquarters in Stamford Connecticut. He was in UBS' Foreign Currency Exchange Division working as an Account Manager for the firm's top tier FX Clients. Prior to UBS, Justin was at HSBC Securities which he joined upon graduating from the Fox School of Business in December 2005 with a double major in Finance and International Business. He was in HSBC's one year foreign currency exchange operations rotational program under Mr. Barry McCarraher, a fellow Temple Alumni.
Born and raised in the east African country of Burundi and after a childhood of travel, Justin came to the United States at the age of 13 where he attended the prestigious High School of Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA. He gained a strong interest in International Business from traveling while he was young and also due to the large international body of students that Valley Forge Military Academy had.
He graduated from Valley Forge in 2001 and chose to attend Temple University's Fox School of Business due to its large international student body and the fact that they had a CIBER (Center for International Business Education & Research) on campus. Justin leaned towards a double major of Finance and International business where he learned how the global business world really worked.
The Fox School of Business prepared Justin for the many challenges and opportunities that lied ahead through its many programs such as its Student Professional Organizations (SPO). Justin became a member of the Financial Management Association (FMA) where he got to put in practice his leadership, networking, and organizational skills. Justin became President of the Association in his senior year and with the help of the student officers and Professor Stephen Kamp; oversaw a complete restructuring of the organization. FMA, as the organization is known, has since become one of the top SPOs on campus.
While he attended the Fox School of Business; Justin was greatly influenced and helped by the Center for Student Professional Development (CSPD) lead by Corrine Snell. With their help in concurrence with FMA, he landed summer internships at the Vanguard Group, and UBS Wealth Management.
