- Jobs I have had in my lifetime…
- During high school and college, I worked in a small local grocery store, in a fast food restaurant and a furniture warehouse. After college, I became a CPA. But I was also an accounting instructor in the early 70's at the Ungku Omar Politeknik in Ipoh Malaysia and at Adrian College in Michigan in the mid 80's and a financial intern in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
- Movie I can watch over and over…
- Moonstruck
- Places I have lived…
- Erie, State College and Philadelphia, Pa; Columbia, SC; Adrian, MI; Sao Paulo, Brazil; Ipoh, Malaysia
- Favorite sports teams…
- The Phillies & PSU football
- Favorite TV show…
- It's a toss-up between Bones and As Time Goes By.
- Foreign place I have traveled to…
- England, Ireland, Scotland, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, The Netherlands and Canada (does that count as foreign?).
- Favorite spot on the Jersey Shoreline…
- I'm not a big fan of the Jersey shore. I think Cape May is the nicest part, but I like Cape Cod or the Maine coast much more.
- Websites I visit daily…
- None, except for work related stuff. I rarely go to websites other than for something connected with teaching or academic research. I am not into Facebook, Twitter or getting the news online. I'd much prefer to read the morning newspaper or a newsmagazine like the Economist. I guess that makes me old fashioned.
- Favorite foods…
- Anything dark chocolate. I'm becoming addicted to chocolate croissants
- Favorite Philly restaurant…
- I'm not sure that I have just one favorite.' There are several in my neighborhood of Mt Airy that I like, including Bacio & Tiffen.
- Favorite things to do outside of work…
- Working in my garden, riding my bike on the many local bike paths, yoga, reading a book (mysteries, history, novels - I'll read anything that is interesting)
- Coolest thing I’ve ever done…
- What is cool? How about touring the island of Bali with a guide while riding on the back of his little motor scooter? Or sailing on a schooner off the coast of Maine?
- If I could eat dinner with one person, it would be…
- Bill Bryson
- Favorite flavor of ice cream…
- Homemade Chocolate
- Favorite toy as a child…
- A stuffed puppy dog
- Book (not textbook!) I am currently reading…
- I am reading Crossing Mandelbaum Gate by Kai Bird as I write this and I just finished the Stieg Larsson mystery trilogy
